International Symposium « Sustainable Buildings and Construction 4.0 »

Sustainability in construction is a broad term describing the activities carried out without depleting natural resources or having a detrimental impact on the environment. Similarly, sustainability in buildings is a vast and complex subject that must be considered at the early stages of any construction project. Therefore, in the context of climate change, “sustainable building” is the practice of increasing the efficiency at which buildings and their sites, use energy, water, and materials, and reducing impacts on the environment for the entire life cycle of the building. Hence, the significance of sustainable building design is crucial. It involves knowledge in disciplines such as urban planning, architecture, and engineering to address environmental issues related to architectural layout, structural design, and construction performance.
